Pose Estimation

I'm excited to share my latest computer vision project that bridges the worlds of classical dance and modern AI technology! 🚀 Using a ballet performance I personally recorded, I've implemented a complete pipeline for human pose analysis that transforms traditional 2D video into dynamic 3D representations. 💃➡️🔄

Technical Journey 🧠💻

This project demonstrates three key computer vision techniques:

  • Object Detection 🔍: Identifying and tracking the dancer's body within each frame

  • 2D Pose Estimation 📊: Mapping the precise skeletal keypoints of the dancer in two-dimensional space

  • 2D-to-3D Pose Lifting 🎭: Converting these 2D coordinates into a full three-dimensional model that captures the depth and complexity of ballet movements

The resulting 3D animation ✨ preserves the grace and technical precision of the original performance while providing new perspectives and analytical possibilities that weren't possible with traditional video alone.

This work represents the fascinating intersection of artistic expression and computational analysis 🎨🤖, showing how AI can help us understand and appreciate human movement in new dimensions!
